Exactly. Im not pro anyone in the #Israel & #Palestine conflict right now & see wrong on both sides. That may change or stay the same as I research more but thats up to me. Im for the end to the constant violence & death. Theres a lot of manipulation on the part of the media taking place & people are choosing which side to extend humanity to & using religious prophesy/doctrine to buttress their bigotry even though we dont live in a theocracy & neither does Israel. I hate that Palestinian civilians are being killed in record numbers. I hate that 5,000 Jewish families are fleeing France because violent mobs are yelling, Gas the Jews!.It breaks my heart. Im tired of people hurling anti-Semitic or anti-Palestinian labels at people for not automatically choosing their side. Some of you need to grow up, its called being objective & making up your own mind with something other than obviously biased reports from corporate media outlets & FB posts: Our news tends to produce more personal stories on Israelis than Palestinians (who they refer to statistically). Most people dont understand statistics, which gives the media advantage to Israel as they are able to get more sympathy for their casualties, but overall the Palestinians are a lot worse off. It is not that Israeli casualties do not matter, but three dead teenagers (and about 40 Israeli casualties since the latest flare-up started) should not be held equal to 1000 + deaths. War is messy but we should at least give equal sympathy for the civilian populations. And it is kind of a slippery slope to consider all males between the ages of 14-55 to be potential combatants subject to drone strikes or legitimate targets for missile attacks.Both sides do not care that people are dying.
