Excerpt from my story Band of Flesh about conjoined twins. We had a big house with big wide doors through which both of us could walk easily. We had a big teak bed in which both of us could lie, flat on our backs, looking up at the ceiling. Pale see-through lizards walked upside down on the stucco and fell onto us, their tails dropping off. Father said it was just a defense mechanism. They could grow new ones easily. If we let the band stretch almost to the breaking point, until it hurt so much I could stand it no longer, we could almost turn our backs on each other. Copyright Kyi May Kaung -- 4-19-2014
