FAKE: Tonights subject... This begets the question, what is real?? To answer that one would have to examine parameters and reasonably acceptable theories regarding reality.. Afterall, how do we determine real? Certainly, depending on our individual perceptions of the stimulii that govern our actions, reality, as a basis for making decisions can seem wildly different depending on who u talk to... Talk to those who are resident at mental institutions and reality could take on vastly different dimensions. Then talk to those to whom maintaining the social norm pertaining to reality is based on classic psychological markers and you will find those dimensions somewhat solidified into cross referenced empirically reinforced concepts aimed at self maintenance. But history has proven over and over that no matter ones opinions on reality, the basis for assumption in any regard is subject to change. So where does one look to find a foundation that is reliable throughout time and testing to begin to formulate reliable ideas about reality. Quantum physics, the most cutting edge frontier in search of answers for a foundation for reality has yet to provide conclusive answers to this. Religions in any aspect never agree wholly on the subject either...and without agreement reality cannot stand, different versions of reality are surely as pointless as different versions of falsity.. reality must be wholly inclusive to be real if it is to be believable, else it is open to scepticism and therefore obviously unable to stand definitively as real. So where does one look if trying to answer the question what is reality? Certainly the sages and mystics throughout history all seem to speak of reality in similar terms, but claim, despite tjier efforts, to be unable to express it to satisfaction. But the very fact that this often laughed at, misunderstood and commonly ostracised element throughout the worlds history do claim to have insights through devoted efforts in meditative and often ascetic practises, should, in our modern age of aware and informed examination of evidences, point to at least a element of mental/conscious practice that could indeed have some merit for exoloration even if it it little understood by the majority... especially in western cultures. Personally I have no questions remaining that need answering and am only making this post as matter of personal interest and because the subject is often discussed on television documentaries etc... . In conclusion I would like to quote the historic jesus of 2500 years ago when he simply said.. seek the truth, and it will set you free. Peace yo.
