***FINAL MINUTES SUNDAY STAT STRIP*** 1. Blake Griffin led the Clippers with 30 points, DeAndre Jordan led them with 18 rebounds and Chris Paul led them in assists with 16. This is only the third time over the last 18 seasons that an NBA team had one player score at least 30 points, another player grab at least 18 rebounds and a third player hand out 16 or more assists in the same game. The two other instances where the Knicks in November 2008 (Al Harrington, David Lee and Chris Duhon) and the same Clippers trio in an overtime game the day after Christmas in 2013. 2. All twelve NHL games played on Saturday were decided in regulation time. Its the first time this season that there at least 10 NHL games played and none went to overtime. The last time this occurred was on October 10, 2013 (10 games) and the last time the NHL had as many as 12 games played on one day in which none were decided in overtime was December 10, 2011. 3. Marian Hossa scored the last two goals for the Blackhawks in their 3-1 win at Nashville. It was Hossas first two goal game this season and the 78th multiple-goal game of his NHL career, which ranks him fourth among active players, behind Jaromir Jagr (120), Jarome Iginla (103) and Alex Ovechkin (89). 4. Former King Wayne Simmonds scored the game-winning goal for the Flyers in their 2-1 victory at Los Angeles. Simmonds has scored two goals in five games against the Kings since L.A. traded him to Philadelphia in June 2011 and both of those goals have been game-winners. His other goal versus his former team was the first one in the Flyers 2-0 win at Staples Center on Feb. 1, 2014. The Flyers have recorded one other win against the Kings since they acquired Simmonds and the winning goal in that game was scored in overtime by the other player L.A. traded to Philadelphia in that deal, Brayden Schenn (October 28 this season). 5. Draymond Green led all players by scoring 31 points in the Warriors win over the Bulls at United Center. It was the first time in his 180-game NBA career that Green was the leading scorer in a game.
