FINAL THOUGHTS PART 3: Things I find amusing: -Leaving China at 9:30 on Sunday night, and arriving in Los Angeles at 6:30 on Sunday night. -One of the travel group members airline experience: her flight was delayed 3 hours, and she only had a 2 hour connection time before her next flight. However, they didnt rebook her, and their reason? Because the next airline she was catching is always delayed. -Driving in Nepal. You just have to laugh. Especially at the very liberal use of the car horn. -The cab driver who would shake his head and fist at some of the other drivers and pedestrians, and exclaim, they have no sense! This was the one cab ride where I made sure I used my seatbelt, and also the one with the No Fear sticker on the dashboard. -Experiencing the bus system, also known as a tuk tuk. Yes, it has 3 wheels... -The language barrier was sometimes hilarious. For example, what we thought was an herb that was supposed to keep you warm (amazing huh!) was actually an herb intended to prevent a cold. We figured that out later. -When shopping at a particular store, seeing the XL sizes marked as Fat 1, Fat 2.... and so on up to Fat 9. I told the clerk that I probably needed a Fat 3 size and he looked puzzled. When we showed him, he laughed and insisted that it was simply a random inventory code. Mmm hmmm, yeah right. -Waking myself up with a snore.... on a crowded flight to China -Americans. We are ridiculous, especially our definition of poverty. If you want to see real poverty, travel to a third world country. -Also, why in the hell dont we use the metric system like the rest of the world?!?
