FQ-My 19 wo (4.5 mth old) daughter gets very agitated and cries quite easily. She hits out while feeding on one side while strokes gently on the other side. She even hits herself hard while holding an intense expression while looking in my eyes. Any suggestions in how to manage her hitting out as Im concerned it may develop into a reaction of frustration when shes older. Also is saying no while gently holding her arm down appropriate as Ive heard/read emphasising no can actually be the wrong thing to do? And fiddling with my diet is harder than i thought it would be to see if she has a sensitivity to something. She also has dry skin with eczema which could be part of the problem - but this screaming and hitting behav has presented well before the eczema had. Also she squawks and screams when im getting her prepared for a feed. Its terribly loud and embarrassing and I dont know how to manage this. Ive even tried feeding her before she calls/indicates but nothing works. It drives me insane. I only use under the arm hold as the cradle position causes my breasts to smother her as theyre quite big. And laying down is uncomfortable for a few reasons. Im always in a dilemma when out shopping when she needs a feed. Are there any other mums faced with these dilemmas. Please give me some hints and tell me Im not going crrrrrazy!!!
