***FYI! BROWARD COUNTY*** Beat the Heat! $15 Feline Spay/Neuters Fort Lauderdale, FL – The Humane Society of Broward County and Broward County Animal Care & Adoption are teaming up for their fourth annual “Beat the Heat.” In an effort to prevent the births of potentially thousands of kittens in the upcoming spring and summer months, the shelters will be hosting “Beat the Heat” from February 2 – 6 and spaying and neutering cats for $15.00. The fee will also include a rabies vaccination and FVRCP booster. Felines eight weeks of age or older who are free-roaming, feral or lucky enough to have a home are eligible for this week long event, however appointments are necessary. The HSBC’s goal is to sterilize 350 cats and BCACA goal is to work with their veterinary partners and sterilize 150 felines. Only with your help can we reduce the number of unwanted cats entering shelters. The Humane Society of Broward County is conveniently located at 2070 Griffin Road, just a block west of I-95. The HSBC is a private, non-profit organization supported by donations from people and companies who want to help us help the animals.
