FAITH CHILDREN’S HOME - Uganda Friends of Faith Children’s Home – Uganda, CONSTRUCTION UPDATES AS OF Dec.31st 2014: Please kindly read through and pray for Faith Children Home according to Ephesians 3:20 - Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably,more than what we can ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work with in us. As many of you have heard from the last newsletter, Faith Children’s Home started construction on additional classrooms to hold the growing number of students at Faith Junior School. The progress has certainly been exciting. It has been fast paced and is meeting the needs of the school and its students. Since our last update, five classrooms are under construction. The final goal is to have an L-shaped building, three high, containing fifteen classrooms. See Pic 1. These classes will allow more room in the original school building for the fast growing preschool and primary classes that are now at 380 students. (See kindergarten class below with 90+ students.) The three new classrooms shown above have a temporary roof on them so that classes can be taught in them for now. Once the finances are available, we will remove the temporary roof and lay the floor for the second story. Once that floor is complete we will add an additional third floor which will give us the additional classrooms needed. See Pic.2 FINANCIAL NEED: In the last newsletter there was a break down of expenses/costs for various building materials for the additional classrooms. Here they are again, so that you may know what is still needed and how to pray. $10 buys 1-50 kg bag of cement $15 buys 1 small steel bar $20 buys 1 large steel bar $40 buys 1 big truck of big rocks/stones $50 buys 1 big truck of plaster (fine) sand $70 buys1 big truck of lake (sea) sand $10,000 completes one classroom (labor costs included) $150,000 completes all needed classrooms (does not include plumbing, electricity, furniture) OTHER NEEDS $50 monthly sponsorship for an orphan child at Faith Children’s Home (provides food, clothing, school supplies, medical care and education fees) $30 monthly sponsorship for an orphan NOT living at Faith Children’s Home but needing tuition for Faith Junior School Thank you for your continued love and partnership!
