FanQ: So, I went to tour my birthing center today....which I knew was associated with a local hospital...but they painted a picture making it seem seperate just in the same location. upon arrival i learned its actually in the hospital in the regular labor and delivery area (even though I am doing water birth) and everything is treated exactly the same...having to go through triage and having to do all the check ups with a regular doctor..having to stay 2 nights after delivery...doesnt matter if a chose the midwife duola option. They dont even guarentee to admit your baby in your room!!! I feel dooped because I picked my midwife based on a list I was given of midwifes who deliver there and they dont allow tours until you are out of your first trimester. I do not want a clinical experience, I almost started crying during the group tour. I am in the Atlanta area and I need advice...my insurance is through Aetna....help!
