Father, we lift before You today Christians in Uzbekistan, Nigeria, Syria and Ethiopia, calling on You to be their hiding place in times of trouble, and their deliverer from captivity. We rejoice over the release of Pastor Kashkumbayev and his reunion with his wife and family, especially his precious grandchildren. Guide him now in the next steps as he seeks how to continue serving You there. We pray Your comfort and peace to enfold those in Nigeria as they grieve the loss of loved ones, and seek healing for their own injuries from this unimaginable horror. Thank You for the testimony of their faithfulness, even in the midst of the constant threat of attack, and we especially pray for Your peace and protection to surround them as they gather for worship. We call on Your hand of protection to rest on the Christians who remain in Homs. Sustain them, Father, and bring peace to this war-torn country. Be a secure hiding place for Hayat as she studies Your Word and considers Your plans for her. Grant her protection and boldness in her desire to bring the gospel home to her family and friends. May all those were praying for today be encouraged and strengthened as You comfort their hearts and sing to them Your songs of deliverance.
