Fellow shooters, I have a dilemma! Im breaking in a new shilen select match 6.5 creedmoor barrel. Im 20 shots in to the break in, following their outlined procedures, and its fouling with copper like nothing Ive seen. Upon the removal of most of the copper, I can distinctly see scratching in the grooves and lapped unpolished finish on one of the lands. Its slowly getting better, but far from the expected shilen quality. I have emailed them, their response is to send it in for inspection. Should I risk sending it in and having them blame it on me? Or should I keep it and hope it shoots out?
