Finally got my Stick Grenade 24 Rack/Case in from my Russian Buddy Dmitry. This was a Lake Found case of grenades. The rack/case was pretty nasty so I gave her a bath of warm soap & water. The M24s themselves came over a period of about 2 months. Handles & Heads (inert of course!) shipped separately. and the box that was their underwater home in an icy Soviet lake for the better part of 3/4 of a century, arrived in warm Texas today!! With that considered, they dont look too bad. The Wehrmacht threw everything they couldnt. carry into lakes and rivers on their way back the Germany after the Defeat at Stalingrad, so the pursuing Red Army couldnt use it against them. Dmitry tells me they have found literally hundreds of these cases with full racks of 15 Grenades & detonators. The detonators were stored in the compartment on upper end of rack if Im not mistaken.
