Finally saw Lucy tonight. Interesting. Far more cerebral than The Fountain - but far more entertaining. I also found it frustrating that - WARNING - possible mini/tiny spoiler alert - they felt the need to have a bunch of guys just shooting one another to intercut back and forth to while they went on with the far more interesting intellectual exploration of the premise - like - cutting back and forth to keep the ADHD adolescent boys busy - just to keep em with us so they didnt get bored. ;-( THAT was irritating :-/ but I get why they did it - to keep the pace and tension up but I just wish there wasnt that need. For me, I was like: Really? You dont need this. Lets get back to our Hero and the concept. I found the whole thing cool and curious and stimulating but NOT emotionally engaging. I never worried for her or rooted for her, she was so invulnerable, impenetrable and invincible. I loved the strong heroine and the non-violent ways she solved things (sometimes ;-) and I love Scarlett Johansson and thought the film was a great addition to her library - and the legacy of smart, strong female roles. ;-)
