First the ferry to the Yucatan was going Progreso, then to the Cancun side. Now they are talking about landing with in 10 hours of Tampa and in April 2015. Just received this email .... Important Question for Future Customers of U.S. to Mexico Ferry This afternoon, we received a question from Bruce Nierenberg, CEO of United Caribbean Lines regarding the port of call for the new US to Mexico Ferry. If you wish to respond to Bruce, please do so by replying to this email. Thank you! Pawel Friends, We are making good progress on getting a start date for the service. I expect to have that in the next month. We are targeting to start by April 2015. More info will come to you shortly and as you will be our first customers, you will know before anyone else all the details. I have a logistical question for you... If we brought the ship departure point closer to where you are driving from so you did not have to drive to Florida would that be okay with you and in fact be preferred? Example: if we left from a port on the Gulf Coast of the U.S. for the trip to the Yucatan... which could reduce your driving time up to 10 hours by not having to go to Tampa... and still provide all the services you need for you, your family and your cars, cargo, pets, etc. - would that be okay? Sincerely, Bruce
