Fixed the Jeeps electrical issues today in a completely weird way... Charged the battery for 4 days.. Wouldnt fire over.. VERY Weird. Ok, Charger must be bad, ill jump it. VROOM. Fires right up from the Silverado cables... Drive for 30 minutes checking fluids and getting 4x4 ready for bad weather here... Shut it off.. wont start.. Jump it again, Check alternator output. 13.5V Hmmm. Remove battery and take to AdvanceAuto They did a deep cycle test and charge test and it failed. YAHOO. The battery was 30 months old (on a 36 MONTH REPLACEMENT warranty). 100% FREE. So I walk out with a much bigger cranking amp battery and pay the guy $5 difference.. Now I need to buy a good trickle charger and just leave it on there all winter. Im thinking something with quick disconnects that I can leave the dongle on there all the time. I see that Ken Key earlier asked this question, Ken, how did that purchase work out for you? Should I follow suit with the recommendation??
