Floating: Thanks to all my family and friends. There is a book - TopicsExpress

Floating: Thanks to all my family and friends. There is a book on panic attacks that suggests you ‘float’ through a crisis situation. I read the book to help someone else many years ago…and found that somehow it has been the advice that changed my life. For all of us-- there are just many days with jagged edges. Sometimes the bad days come in succession—sometimes bad and good things happen in the same day. Last week started with a hospital visit for mom, then a visit to the hospital for someone that had a stroke and finally last night—a visit to a funeral home to say good-bye to a dear friend. Today I sorted through some happy photos for a friend’s birthday collage, I am getting a massage tonight and meeting a dear friend tomorrow. Saturday I am taking mom to a wedding. Happiness seems to heal the scarred places. I know this is just FB –but I love that I can come out here and connect with friends. We travel separate, different journeys, but have much in common. We all experience varying degrees of good and bad and the inevitable ups and down of life. I don’t come out here for answers or sympathy—I come out to escape into pet videos—to share feelings and laughter and love and ‘visit’ others who often ‘hear’ underneath the words that I am not writing. Sometimes I come out just to ‘float’—and it can make all the difference. The difference between swimming and going down.
