Follow up to the Missy Adoption: Our longest term guest, Missy, was adopted last Friday. She was here for almost eight months and is living proof why we dont have time limits at our shelter. Our volunteers spent many hours with her, all of which helped her be ready when the right adopter came along. These pictures seem like a thank you card from her, and this note from her adopter should make our volunteers and staff feel great about what we do: Hey I just wanted to tell you how amazingly in love we are with Missy, now known as June. It was love at first sight. I cant believe she has been at the shelter for so long! She is the perfect dog! I just wanted to say thank you to you and your team for taking such good care of her before we finally found each other. She has made herself very comfortable in her new home. Her and her fur sister Maya enjoy hours of play time in our backyard playing fetch, tag, tug-o-war, and even venturing into the little kiddy pool we got them :) At night they are perfectly happy sleeping side by side in our big comfy bed. We couldnt be happier!!! I attached some pictures so you and the shelter staff can see just how happy she is in her new home. I know many of the people at the shelter were both super happy for her to finally find her home, but a little sad to see her go. Thanks again!!! We are totally in love!
