The primary outcomes for the Northern California Breathmobile® are reductions in asthma related emergency room visits, hospitalizaions and school absences. From the 2012 – 2013 school year, the Breathmobile® saw 205 patients and reduced their collective school absences from 322 to 27, emergency room visits from 120 to 6 and hopitalizations from 114 to 0. Estimated health care dollars saved = $2,005,325.00. Currently, the Northern California Breathmobile® serves 17 sites located in 9 cities residing in 3 Bay Area Counties.
