Footage of the Northern California Breathmobile at Woodrw Elementary in San Leandro California. The primary outcomes for the Northern California Breathmobile® are reductions in asthma related emergency room visits, hospitalizaions and school absences. From the 2012 – 2013 school year, the Breathmobile® saw 205 patients and reduced their collective school absences from 322 to 27, emergency room visits from 120 to 6 and hopitalizations from 114 to 0. Estimated health care dollars saved = $2,005,325.00. Currently, the Northern California Breathmobile® serves 17 sites located in 9 cities residing in 3 Bay Area Counties. They include: ALAMEDA COUNTY: West Oakland (Oakland Unified School District) • PLACE @ Prescott Elementary • Lafayette Elementary • Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary San Leandro (San Leandro Unified School District) • Woodrow Wilson Elementary • John Muir Middle School Emeryville (Emery Unified School District) • Anna Yates Elementary Berkeley (Berkeley Unified School District) • Malcolm X Elementary • King Child Development Center • Rosa Parks Elementary School San Lorenzo (San Lorenzo Unified School District) • Bohannon Middle School Alameda (The Breathmobile has a partnership with Alameda Head Start/Early Head Start.
