Football in politics... LOL... APC Signs Atiku Abubakar On Loan! The All Progressive Congress (APC) has confirmed the signing of injured midfielder Atiku Abubakar on a season-long loan from PDP with an option to buy at the end of the season. The Yola-based midfielder passed medical and was unveiled to APC fans at Yola state stadium. The 67-year-old, who will wear the Number 10 shirt, moved to APC as part of the deal that saw Attahiru Bafarawa and Ibrahim Shekarau move in the opposite direction. Atiku struggled to make an impact during his first spell at the club (then know as AC and later ACN). APCs coach, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has hailed Atiku as a fantastic all-round midfielder. That will spark the creativity within the club. Alhaji Atiku in his address to the APC fans, said that he is aware of other midfielders in the APC team, like Buhari, Kwankwaso, Fashola, Okorocha and Mallam Sanusi, who their agents finilising arrangements to buy him before the transfer deadline, will be competing for the same position. But with his deep purse, he is sure that he will have an edge over all them come 2015. In a related development, the APC is still bent on signing the three-time Ballon dOr winner from Ota who has been a letter-writing bench-warmer in PDP for some years now. WHATS YOUR REACTION TO THIS?
