“For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah: not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord. For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: and they shall not teach every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest. For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more. In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away”. – Hebrew 8:7-13. A careful study of this amazing scripture declares that indeed, Jesus Christ by His grace towards us , has brought us under a “New” and better covenant which is better than the old, for the old had fault in that no man could keep it. The old covenant “law” made all men unrighteous before God since No man could keep the “law” (Rom 3:10) but thanks be to God, that by the sacrifice of Jesus on the Cross has given us everlasting righteousness and holiness which is without works but rather a “free gift of grace”. Grace has given us a covenant under which the “Lord says he will be merciful to our unrighteousness and our sins he will remember no more. He will put his law and prompting within our minds and in our heart and we will walk in them without effort and work why, because we “rest” in what the grace of God through Christ has won for us. Do not bring yourself under condemnation again by sin for all your sins, past, present and future is forgiven in Christ and God remembers our sins no more(Rom 8:1), there is now , therefore no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus. Be conscious that you now have no condemnation but rather have received righteousness from God forever by his grace. For grace you have been saved, forever. Grace always
