For the first time after three years I paid a visit to my fields in Conception which once were part of my dream of life on Gozo. Before Christmas 2010 I had planted about 30 olive trees on those fields, and I was expecting to watch them grow and, at the the end the day, leave something of value on this planet. But then the ship of life yawed and I abandoned the fields and my dream. It is just recently that I return to my own life, recalling my primary intentions when I moved to Gozo. First steps of this course correction are already done through a new professional challenge and the move to a new place. What I found in Conception this morning was a source of great joy. 22 of the trees had survived and developed throughout three winters and summers. I wish to send a great Well Done! to whoever looked after the fields - because apparently they were plowed and kept clean by someone. Dont worry, I am not claiming any ownership for those trees! Who ever looked after them deserves them much more than me. But from time to time Id like to pay them a visit now and see how they develop. Angelo Mizzi Manuel Mizzi Marcel Mejlaq
