For those of you who know me, you know me as a person who always does his best to do the right thing and Ive always been willing to help people as much as I can. For 36 years, Ive done my best to be a good person and Ive always first seen the good and the potential in people before anything else. I and my family have always lived simply, being happy to be able to go out once in a while and weve always lived within our modest means. We have never taken advantage of people to the point that most often than not, people take advantage of what others may see as our naivete and goodwill. Yesterday, I went home for lunch and found our small home broken into. And not just broken into. Not just content to take what valuables were visible, the thieves/marauders unable to defeat the deadbolts and locks, broke through the doors and ransacked our house. Oh and the funny thing? They had lunch before I did. Ransacking the refrigerator and having a meal before using my bags to take our stuff away, I had apparently missed them by a few minutes as they still had their leavings on the table and some of our possessions and our bags laid out for packing. Guys, I dont know if it was a blessing in disguise that I missed them as for some strange reason, I took an unscheduled stop to pay some bills a few minutes from my house (my guardian angel must have been working overtime), or not as up to now I still wish I could have caught them in the act (sidearms aside if it were just fists and knives, those of you in the know - know me). All in all Im still thankful because the police informed me that I did a foolish thing rushing into my house as thieves who carry knives that big (see picture coz they left in a hurry, leaving a jacket and a survival knife), bolt cutters, and know how to break through and down doors, most likely carry guns. Im asking for your prayers and support. Nothing financial, but more of your positive energy and prayers for my family. For in breaking into our home, those thieves took away my childrens and wifes sense of security, home, and confidence. Us parents share a trauma that cant be explained and I am so angry, that having no focus to vent it on leaves me unfit for company. So pray for us guys. I hope that after this, I can still do my best to be a good person. Can you imagine? Small house, simple life hardly going out, scrimping to get by, and some jerks just pull this off. Oh, and if any of you know anyone who can help recovery-wise, your advice is welcome as our losses are at about 2M in gadgets, personals, jewelry, tools, apparel and clothing, and yes, even the frozen food in the refrigerator is gone.
