For your information because we often get asked. The owner of the Manolis L at the time of her sinking was Dunnet Bay Shipping Company Monrovia, Liberia. But that was for registration purposes and they were owned by Universal Glow Inc. 51 Akti Miaouli, Piraeus, Greece. We are often asked why they dont pay. Well normally that is what happens, CCG cleans it up and then goes after the owner..in this case however it appears a settlement was reached in 1992 but we have no documentation of how much they paid and where that money went. If they paid it to the government they are supposed to pay it to CCG and then the rest be claimed through SOPF. We have tried to get the documents to figure this all out..to no avail.
