This foundation is in memory of a huge animal advocate who passed away from complications of leukemia. Her sister has continued her passion of helping animals, along with helping patients and families of patients with blood cancers---such a worth while cause!Please read below for more information about the event and how you can help! From the Lisa Ross Parker Foundation: We have a unique opportunity that weve never done before for animal welfare organizations in our local area. Our largest fundraising event of the year is coming up on February 21st. Its the 9th Annual Music City Mardi Gras and it will be held at the Student Life Center at Vanderbilt University. Its Nashvilles biggest Mardi Gras party and features the fantastic band Burning Las Vegas, one of the largest silent auctions in town (over 150 items last year), cajun food and a cash bar. We have raised over $175,000 with the first eight events and it just keeps getting better each year. We had over 400 people in attendance last year and had a blast! This year were having a contest that could benefit your animal welfare organization. Everyone who buys a ticket online will have the opportunity to enter your organization into the contest. Each ticket sold = 1 vote and the animal welfare organization that gets the most votes will receive a $1,000 prize!
