From Archived Posted On 5th May, 2014 **As I SEE IT!** (Edi. 1) For a long time i have decided to chill to my tenth, I observed that the govt. is not ready to listen to our cry and pains, they are really busy for 2015 right from ascension to power. 2015 election became priority from all the problems facing the citizens of this country, no one talks about the promises made to us anymore, as we stood firm for justice when we sensed foul play just after the death of our previous president. Now what we see is politicizing every issue in the country accusations and more, where do we go from here? how can we really achieve the progressive Nigeria we all agitate for, when we are creating a mass mess as we continue to feed the masses with the wrong impressions and information from the actuality on ground in our society? when we dont really take time to investigate issues and arrive at a clear point, in order to have a better conclusion on maters of great concerns? Boko Haram are killing Nigerians and all you can get is either PDP accusing APC or in the other hand. All of this is only but to tell you that these guys are not there for anyones betterment except theirs. Do Nigerians continue like this ? I decided to come out from my tenth and speak out this time as things continue to get out of hand and for the saying that An elderly man does not sleep or chase rat when the roof is on fire Honestly am quite concern about our future, the future of our children and our childrens children to come, am quite concern about our values and our cherished way of life, our unity as Nigerians and the love we share during this past decades of amalgamation, in fact am worried about the picture the future portrays as we can see it, sense it, and feel it coming. The so-called National conference is all good but the question laying beneath is can they bear fruits? if they do, can it be implemented or would it be as we all know as usual? I visited Lagos recently, men i tell you, that place is hell, everything is not working, nothing seem to be organized, in fact i sensed absence of governance in LAGOS the former capital of Nigeria. I dont really want to go into details but i tell you firstly i was embarrassed by the airport facility which Stella Odua Boosted the waste of millions of dollars in renovations of Nigerian airports. In fact the MMA i saw this time around is far behind the MMA i used to know far back in the 90s. In the 90s airport taxis were regulated and in sequence they came to the exit door of the airport building to pick a possible passenger but now the whole airport is rowdy filled with people and cars, messed-up, just to get you clued. Now to speak on the issue of Boko Haram and its menace to our society, we at NCRM wrote earlier last 2001 about the importance of an authentic national Identification system as the foundation and one of the pillars issue to tackle for a sustainable peace and progress of this country, for there is no way the security forces can work effectively without proper identifications of who is who in the work of policing. Identifications cannot just be from a mare look, mistakes and injustices must come in and can you tell the prices for this? Proper identifications is crucial for maintenance of justice and freedom in a society. Nigerian government should be cautious in dealing with the problem of Boko Haram, Firstly you must understand who they are, where they are coming from, their motives, objectives and goal which i think would not be far fetched from 2 reasons: (1)To control the oil wells or (2) Islamising Africa as claimed, but my doubt is which country in particular is orchestrating this? I WOULD ALSO USE THIS MEDIUM TO SUGGEST TO THE GOVERNMENT THAT BRINGING THE USA TO THE CENTER OF THIS FIGHT MAY BE THE WORST DECISION EVER. For i think they could only be useful in intelligence and planing but not to step in the center of the fight , FOR THIS WILL MEAN ACTING IN-FAVOR OF THE PLANS OF THE INTERNATIONAL TERRORIST ORG. TO USE NIGERIA AS A FRONT-LINE for their game!! We might prevail later but am thinking of the lives that would be lost Mr president should stop surrounding himself with clueless and sycophants who are only their to fill their pockets. Stop attacking criticism if your intentions and objectives are to move Nigeria forward, endeavor to take logical steps to solutions and allow history to justify you. May we be blessed with more wisdom to save our country!! Wellington D. Offoaro (CEO NCRM)
