We have been getting many e-mails regarding our debut Ashtanga - TopicsExpress

We have been getting many e-mails regarding our debut Ashtanga Mysore classes and we hope this would help clarify your understanding. 1. Ashtanga Mysore practice is NOT a typical guided or led yoga class. Newcomers will be practicing and repeating (verbal, no paper) sequence given by the Mysore leader / teacher during the session, not before or prior - and unless they have been practicing Mysore-style Ashtanga practice before, then they will practice the sequence that they have been given, memorized and been practicing. 2. You may arrive to your Ashtanga Mysore session on weekdays ANYTIME between 6am to 8am and the Mysore leader / teacher will give you personalized instructions and sequence to be repeated for the day. If you have repeated, memorized and perfected the sequence for the day, you may be given new pose(s) the next day to add to the sequence that has been given to you. 3. Depending on individual but in general, most beginners to Ashtanga Mysore will finish their given sequence practice between 45 to 60 minutes. This will give you rough estimation what time will your practice end but it also depends largely on what time you arrive. 4. Fee for Ashtanga Mysore practice is RM50 per session / drop-in (full fee and special promotion structure in upwardyoga). This is not to be confused with RM30 fee for other types of classes (Breathe Stretch Heal, Ashtanga Basics, Led Ashtanga, Repair & Restore and Arm Balances & Inversions) at Upward even if your Mysore practice is only 60 or 90 minutes. If it helps you provide an insight and slightly better understanding of Ashtanga Mysore practice, with courtesy of Mandala Yoga Bend Studio we are sharing this video for your preview. It (Ashtanga Mysore) will change your body, making you stronger and more flexible. It will also change your mind - about the world, and about what you think is possible.
