From Team Power Monkey Coach (@colinpgeraghty) Strict partner Toes to bar Great accessory exercise for every level. This exercise is most effective on stall bars. The partner is there to take away any lean back. - straight legs - feet together - head neutral (entire movement) - pull up/t2b/clean grip width - slowly pull legs up - only go as high as you can with straight legs - lower slowly - legs straight! If this is a weak area for you, and youve never done this, you will not be able to go very high. Dont let that discourage you. Go slow. Work hard. Your body will try to create momentum if you are used to kipping, so be aware of that. Try to stay tight, move in slow motion. I showed 3 heights just for the demo, go as high as you can each rep. I also lowered a little quicker to fit it in 15 sec. Going slow on the way down will benefit you. Be aware the upper back will want to lean first so partner can hold mid to upper back. Start with low reps 3-5 reps x 5 sets, 2-3 xs a week to start off. Progress from there. - get quality reps. These are great to use in a warm up. Can be done in a cool down but if you need to work on this, initially put them in your warm up.
