From the American Revolution to the Democracy - TopicsExpress

From the American Revolution to the Democracy Revolution Janis, MTA-ABC-flag-250x133.pngOn July 4, Americans celebrate our independence from King George’s tyranny. In these troubling times, it can be easy to forget the spirit, which has driven our many accomplishments. It is a good time to remember the many people and events throughout our history that have contributed to the making of this great nation. We hope to evoke that patriotic and revolutionary spirit in the heart of every American to stand up for the basic democratic principles and human rights guaranteed to us in our Constitution. By demanding an amendment that clearly and unequivocally states that artificial entities, like corporations, are not entitled to inherent Constitutional rights and that money is not protected political speech, we move closer to a more perfect union. We know we are on the right track. Hundreds of communities, in red and blue districts alike, support our “We the People Amendment.” When it comes to a functioning democracy, the people clearly believe that political ideology takes a back seat to the corrupting influences on our system of government. The corporate mainstream media has chosen to ignore the growing democracy movement and the successes we have generated from coast to coast. If we cannot rely on the media to educate the public on the important issues of the day, then we must be our own media. Our Amendment Broadcast Campaign (ABC) is underway. We are producing a documentary to tell the story of Move to Amend and why we must band together in the democracy movement to pass the We the People Amendment. It will be made widely available at no cost to watch on the Internet, for viewing on Public Access TV, and for use in meetings and house parties to raise the revolutionary spirit in all of us.
