From the Pastors Heart: In the day of prosperity be happy, but in the day of adversity consider-- God has made the one as well as the other so that man will not discover anything that will be after him. (Ecclesiastes 7:14) When you have been blessed with a season of prosperity, there is nothing wrong with being happy. In fact, it is in order to shout with joy; however, it is important to remember at least two things: First, remember to thank God, for scripture reminds us in James 1:17 - Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow. Secondly, remember that the sun does not shine always. The same God that allows the blessing allows the adversity. In those seasons of adversity, be encouraged by Romans 8:28 - And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. Receive the Blessing of God.
