GOOD MORNING CHURCH!!!!!! GOOD MORNING PASTORS!!!! REMEMBER THESE WORDS? REMEMBER THIS OCCASION? Act 2:1-4 1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. 2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. 3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. (KJV) Let us do a Spiritual stock-taking and a reality check by looking closely at these four verses of scripture. What is the relevance of the day of Pentecost to the birth of the Church? I am not asking anyone to do an exercise in theology, because if you are I may not understand you. I am taking it from the angle of the simplicity of Christ. Jesus said to the disciples that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me. For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence. They did some things. They obeyed. They waited for the promise. They waited as a united group of people that believed what Jesus said and promised. Then the power fell and that marked the birth of the Church. The Church grew and the gate of hell could not prevail against it. But God is concerned that we have soon deviated like the Galatians and He is asking the leaders and Pastors of the local churches Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh? The Church started with the Spirit of Unity to make the impact that turned the world upside down. What has happened to the Church that we are cowarding behind the door like the disciples before the Holy Spirit was given? What has happened to the Church that we are backstabbing each other? What has happened to the church that we are only concerned with building empires? What has happened to the Church that we dont see eye to eye and are not speaking from the same pages of the Bible anymore? What has happened to the church that we are given to fables instead of the engrafted words of truth from our Headquarters in Heaven? Let us examine ourselves and see if we can still find our way back to the purpose of establishing the Church! HEAR THIS CLARION CALL AND JOIN THIS CHARIOT. JOIN THIS GODS CRUSADE OF CALLING THE CHURCHES TO BE UNITED IN BUILDING THE KINGDOM. Oh Lord let thy kingdom come with freshness and with power!!!!!!!!
