GOOD MORNING ! HOT AND HUMID THROUGH NEXT WEEK A couple of isolated thundershowers are around early this morning east of I-65, but most communities are dry right now. Temperatures in the 70s at daybreak will climb to the middle 90s this afternoon. The humidity will make it feel closer to 100°. Drink plenty of water and take breaks in the shade or air conditioning if youre out in the heat. The shower and thunderstorm chance picks up to 30% from mid-afternoon through the early evening as some energy drifts south from Kentucky. Well see some of the hottest weather of the summer the rest of this week into the weekend and beyond. Temperatures then soar to the upper 90s. The heat index could exceed 105°!
