GREENS GO RED : GREEN GROUPS AT U.N BACKED CLIMATE CHANGE CONFERENCE CALL FOR THE DEATH OF CAPITALISM The green lobby has finally come out and revealed its true intentions. No, a clean environment is not what its working for. Its the death of capitalism. A just completed UN-backed climate change conference held in socialist Venezuela, involving roughly 130 green groups, including organisations such as the World Wildlife Fund, Christian Aid and the Third World Network has concluded with a call to smash capitalism. The final declaration of the conference, called the Margarita Declaration stated; The structural causes of climate change are linked to the current capitalist hegemonic system. To combat climate change it is necessary to change the system. The declaration also condemned the idea of having a so-called Green Economy, saying this was nowhere near radical enough, and only the end of the capitalist system would solve the problem of climate change. As noted at Investors Business Daily ; With the possible exception of its earliest days, environmentalism was never about the environment or Earth. It was about replacing freedom and democracy with socialism or outright statism. If it had been about the environment, green groups would have promoted capitalism and its wealth creation. Why is capitalism better for the environment? In part, because a prosperous nation can afford to be clean. We have the resources to mop up after ourselves and produce less-grubby industrial processes. A poorer nation can do neither. The environmental differences between capitalism and its opposite could not be better exemplified than by the gap between West Germany and East Germany. After the Berlin Wall fell, the world discovered that the mostly capitalist west was far cleaner than the shabby communist country to the east.
