Game of Thrones renewed for two more seasons: The Game of Thrones - TopicsExpress

Game of Thrones renewed for two more seasons: The Game of Thrones Season 4 premiere scored 6.6 million viewers in its initial broadcast, shattering its own record. Thats 1.1 million more than the shows previous high and a 50% improvement over last years first episode. And, if the pattern follows from previous seasons, the shows audience will only grow as the season progresses. Its already HBOs highest rated show since the end of The Sopranos. And now well get a chance to see if it can become HBOs top rated series ever, as its just been announced that Game of Thrones has been renewed for TWO more seasons. David Benioff and D.B. Weiss will continue to run the show, having recently renewed their contracts as well. There is no word yet on how many episodes each season will get, or when Seasons 5 and 6 will air. (With True Blood ending its run this year, Id be surprised if HBO doesnt strongly consider moving Game of Thrones to the summer slot in 2015 and beyond.) Well report the details as they are announced. Until then, its time for another casting session. If the show follows the books, Season 5 will introduce the most new characters since Season 2. Which roles do you expect to see next year, and which actors would you like to see in them? (Follow link...)
