Gender Equality and Child Welfare Minister, Rosalia Nghidinua has called for a well co-ordinated approach between her Ministry, that of Youth, National Service, Sports and Culture as well as the Ministry of Agriculture, Water and Forestry if Namibia to successfully implement decisions taken at the just ended African Union-AU summit. The summit called for the full participation of women in the agricultural sector. The co-ordination approach will enable the three ministries to come up with programs specifically targeting the participation of women and youth in the agricultural industry. The African Union meeting called for government-backed initiatives to prioritise agriculture.
