Genetics department called. Test results came back negative...which is positive. I dont have the heart funk gene. This is a big relief but not something I can really be *excited* about as others in my extended family are testing positive (my brother and father havent been checked yet) and more may be before all is said and done. Thats a little sobering. Still, I stopped at Starbucks for a celebratory latte. When the barista asked for my name, she seemed unsure what to make of it when I said, Lucky.
