Geometry for Architecture and the Building Arts - 6-8 March #psta #architectureeducation #sacredgeometry goo.gl/Py1ow5 This course will address fundamental questions such as ‘why use traditional geometry in contemporary design?’ and, on a practical level, it will teach valuable drawing techniques (using compasses and straight edge) for the constructions of polygons, arches and harmonic proportioning systems. Participants will also build 3D models of the platonic solids and large scale bridge structures. During the course there will be the opportunity to consider the symbolic dimension of geometry which exists beyond time and place.
