Get YOUR Record when you want it – NOW !!! Review your Official Military Personnel File (OMPF) online by selecting the OMPF - My Record link under the BUPERS Online (BOL) Application at https://bol.navy.mil. You may download your records onto your own CD and dont need to order one and wait for it to arrive from Navy Personnel Command (NPC). NPC scans upwards of 4 million documents annually into Sailors OMPFs. If you are preparing for a selection board allow time for your documents to be placed into your electronic records, routine documents are normally ingested into the OMPF in about 30 days. Award certificates can take between 4-8 weeks depending on the availability to validate the award with the Navy Department Awards Web Service (NDAWS). Awards must be entered into NDAWS prior to being submitted to NPC to enable validation. If your documents are not in your record then submit a package to selection boards. If your documents are in your OMPF then IT IS NOT NECESSARY to include them in a package to the board president.
