Good Morning All!! Well it is Tuesday Oct 14, 2013 at 4:30 AM. Here is my adventure I had at the neurosurgeon from yesterday’s events. My neurosurgeon is Dr. Stevens Toms from Geisinger Health System, Geisinger Hospital Danville, PA 17822. The diagnosis is 191.2 malignant neoplasm of temporal lobe of brain. I will be admitted Thursday 17 Oct 2013 for surgery that morning, surgery Doc says surgery total from sleep to wake approximant 7-8 hours. Tumor is about the size of a golf ball. A bout 4-6 inch cut. Risks are low, my vitals are excellent and recovery should be a great success. Some Paralysis is possible but not strong. Maybe, continued weakness in the left hand. Incision will be on right side of brain between occipital and right eat from crown. I will be at Geisinger Hospital, 100 N Academy Ave Danville PA 570-271-6206 for 3-possibly 7 days depending on surgery outcome of course. Surgery day Thursday they want to keep me sedated the whole day with little movement, then work with me the next day getting me more awake and moving. They will do a biopsy and have not totally ruled out cancer, but say they are more than positive it is not cancerous because it has no strong signs of cancer. But you know they have to give you bad and good. I have a strong support team, Julie Strope, my wonderful husband Dennis Strope. My 3 beautiful children who keep in touch every day. My family here and afar. My wonderful cousins and Facebook life friends. I feel comfortable and blessed to have all of you in my life! Wed night the 16 oct 2013 Denny and I will stay at the Super 8 in Danville Pa, then Thursday night Denny will stay another night. We, they or someone will try and keep you all posted. No worries !! With your prayers I will be fine!! That’s all I have for now. Today is my house cleaning and get ready day. Love you all.
