Good morning all. I hope that everyone enjoyed the weekend. Its going to be a busy next couple of days and then the kids are off from school Thursday and Friday for the teachers convention. Looking forward to spending some down time with my little family. Anyways, Im sure that all of us have seen those 30 days of thanks posts circulating around Facebook this month thus far. I always enjoy reading them because despite all of the negative within our lives, theres some good. So this morning, I saw that a young woman with terminal cancer decided to end her life on her terms. I cant help but think what a courageous person she was to face such circumstances and how disheartening it is that she lost her life way too young and too soon among other things. Her death really hit me this morning, but in the form of appreciating life because its a gift. Despite the constant struggles I face within my own life, Im reminded that at least Im healthy, Im strong, and many people everywhere are fighting for their lives while their family members watch on suffering along with them. I realize this more today how damn lucky I am to wake up daily in no pain, that I have this beautiful little girl to take care of who loves me unconditionally, and how truly blessed I am even though some days I tend to think differently. I dont want to get into a debate about this person but just wanted to share that were so blessed and loved and I hope that whomever reads this, takes time over the course of the day, week, month, etc., to reflect on the good within their lives.
