Good morning brethren Continuing our admonitions on Elements of the Principles that stabilise Unity. GODS WORD: THE ULTIMATE - DOING & TEACHING. Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven Matt 5:19 The kingdom of God is not impressed by the theological accolades or academic accomplishments of men. In heavens kingdom, people are esteemed in direct proportion to the VALUE they place ON THE WORD of God. The simple-minded saint who, with little or no formal education, faithfully follows Gods Word is considered great in the eyes of heaven, while the august skeptic who scoffs at the Bible is disdained in the eyes of heaven. Psalm 138: 2 I will .......praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast MAGNIFIED thy WORD ABOVE all thy name In Jesus day, the Pharisees were regarded as experts on the law. People considered them among the highest and most authoritative sources of wisdom and knowledge. Yet, they had twisted and divided and manipulated Gods Word for their own selfish and proud purposes. Jesus pointedly informs them, and the people of God, that God is not pleased or impressed by any mans attempt to undermine or alter his Word. 2 Cor 4: 2 ...But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, NOT walking in CRAFTINESSS, nor HANDLING the word of God DECIETFULLY; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every mans conscience in the sight of God Sadly, many Christians become confused on this point and begin to evaluate the weight of a mans words by the degrees he holds or the recognition he is given by men. For this reason, they are easily led astray by liberal scholars or religious professors who make an impressive show of questioning the validity and integrity of the Bible. What is your view of Gods Word? Do you trust it and seek to follow it, or do you question or ignore it? Heaven admires simple faith, but God despises those who despise his Word. We must not forget the right order, that is, DO first, and then, TEACH others. Beyond knowing, we must do! May Gods grace be multiplied upon us as we correct our attitudes to Gods Word today and always. Prayer: Father, I have searched myself in relation to your admonition and I can see the urgent need to make valid improvements. Help me, oh God of my salvation...help me when flesh want to prevail over my spirit. Grant to me, from You, fresh dynamo of inner strength to push for higher levels of obedience to your Word, in order to please you and be good example for others to follow, in Jesus name. Amen.
