Good morning church family, since I’ve already sent you a devotional this morning, I won’t be adding it to our announcements J Pastor Mark and I love you and pray for you faithfully. May God bless your week! 40 Days of Worship…it’s here! We begin week 3 today. From now until Easter. We’re asking you to participate in these three areas: * Increase your Bible and prayer time ~each morning (except Sundays) you will receive a short devotional via email to help you get started. Devotionals are available in print. * Undertake some sort of fast~this can be food (going without a certain kind or amount such as lunch, desserts, soda, sweets, coffee), movies, Facebook, TV, Internet, etc. Ask God what type of fast He’s asking of you! PRAY while fasting! * Give towards our church project~save your change in a family jar and bring it on Easter Sunday to be added with everyone else’s for an “outside our church” need. God will use this 40 Day season to be life changing in you. We will not be serving snacks on Sunday mornings during this 40 Day season. We will have coffee and juice. If you would like to bring something for your child, feel free, but we won’t be serving any until Easter morning. Prayer needs: We have some urgent family needs. We’re asking you to add these loved ones to your daily prayer list in this season. *Marla Perkett would like prayer for healing. She’s on bed rest and battling anemia. *Don Peterson will be having surgery on his vocal chords this Friday, March 21, at UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento. Please pray for a complete healing. *Michael Dwyer, is at Stanford with liver cancer and looking at multiple surgeries. He has taken an upswing! Yea, we are so grateful! *Aaron Bruce needs our continued prayers for complete healing for his foot. *Rhonda Barrett is recovering for a successful surgery and great news! Please pray for continued recovery for her. May God be their Healer and give them strength as they recover. God has miraculously heard and answered on several accounts. Thank you for praying and believing with us! Easter Program…We’re so excited about the turn out for our Easter Program! Be sure to invite friends and family to join you at Grace for our Easter morning celebration! Easter Breakfast…We will be having an Easter breakfast at 9am before our Easter Program. We’d like you to bring something to share. Please bring your favorite already prepared breakfast food: sweet rolls, egg casserole, sausage links, sliced fruit, juice, etc. Be as creative as you’d like to be! We have a sign-up sheet out on the back table. Homeless Shelter Meal…we will be preparing and serving dinner at the D street shelter Tuesday, March 25th from 5:30 to 7pm. If you would like to donate monetarily towards food or come help us serve, we need you! Please let Cheryl know you so we can watch out for you. Welcome Baby Shower for Rochelle and Noah... You’re invited to a baby shower to celebrate the birth of Noah Tillotson. It will be hosted by Sidonie and Charlene at SIdonie’s home on Friday, March 28th at 6:30 pm. Come join us!!! Ways to Serve…We have 2 dates coming up where you can serve. On Saturday, March 29th from 8am to 1pm we will be having a Church Workday, Inside and Out, something for everyone to help with…from cleaning baby toys in the nursery to lawn work outside. Bring some cleaning supplies and join us! We appreciate the help getting our church home prepared for Easter Sunday. Another date to serve is Saturday, April 5th. We will be joining with other saints for LOVE Merced. Please see Pastor Mark if you’d like to coordinate the LOVE Merced day for our church. Ladies Study…We continue in our study, “When Godly People, Do Ungodly Things” on Monday nights at 7pm. We begin promptly at 7pm so come early if you’d like to chat beforehand with ladies. We will meet downstairs so please come in the D Street side entrance. We have childcare available. We have only 3 classes left in this study Men’s Journaling Group…Join Pastor Mark on Tuesday’s at 6 to 7am at the Starbucks on the corner of Yosemite and Paulsen Streets. Bring your Bible, pen and a notebook or journal with you. Juniors for Jesus… Jr/Sr High teens meet every Wednesday evening from 6:30 to 8pm at the church. If you’d like more information, you can phone, text, email or see Jon Goodman, or Anthony/Misty Collins. If you’d like to help the youth out in a practical way, a few of us are bringing snack once every 8 weeks. This is just so the teens remember that we love them! If you’d like to help, see Rhonda Barrett. Men’s Saturday Morning Bible Study…join Pastor Mark and the men of Grace for Bible Study on Saturday morning’s at 8:00am in the Café. The guys are studying through the book of Acts. Ladies Summer Retreat…W will be attending the Beth Moore event at the Stockton Arena on June 6th and 7th!!! Cost is $90 for the event and hotel room costs. Invite your friends to join you! We will begin collecting $$’s for this on April 13th. We won’t be having a Fall Retreat this year but we’ll be doing something closer to home.
