Good morning everyone. Today is $7 Saturday and we have a VERY special team to get to goal. I want to share this post that this teams Mom made this morning (she has asked how quickly we think we can meet goal because this sweet little girls falls are getting worse, we start training today but we HAVE to move this to goal ASAP to finish this dogs vetting and get her needed equipment): A lot of you wonder why Kami needs a service dog. Well here it is. When I was 29 weeks pregnant with Kami I had lost all my amniotic fluid. The Doctors said she wouldnt live, then when I had my c-section they said she had CMV and gave her 24hrs to live. We had also found out she had a stage 1 bleeding of the brain. At 6 months old she was diagnosed with spastic cerebral palsy and developmental delay because she wasnt hitting her milestones. She also has really bad vision in one eye. She has to wear leg braces because her right leg is shorter then the other and her hip turns in causing her to fall over EVERYTHING...over her feet, over curbs and down the stairs. Kami also has a really bad speech delay. And also had fraction and Apraxia of the mouth. At school her teachers are concerned because she doesnt play with the other kids. This service dog will help Kami in many many ways such as assisting her while walking and help her keep her balance and also as a support dog. She will be my eyes when I cant be around Kami at school. Also, yes, my husband is deployed and we wish so much that he could be here but he sends so much support from where he is! This is his second deployment. Please feel free to share this!
