Good morning folks. The Police have advised that two properties in the Kairanga area have been hit recently: 1. Oroua Road. Possibly overnight 10-11 June the property was entered and items taken. 2. Aranui Road. Yesterday, Monday 11 June, a property was entered between 8.16 am and 4.45 pm the front door was jemmied and items taken. If you have any information on these two incidents, or you have had a caller and have not reported the fact, please do contact the station on 323 6363 or ring it in anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. A point that has come to light that is worth reading the fine print of your insurance policy as all companies have a capital value that they will pay out for any item not listed on the cover. What this means is if the policy you have has a capital limit of $1,000.00 and you have jewellery worth $4,000.00 and it is not listed, the maximum that the insurers will pay out is $1,000.00.
