Good news on jobs for this month as unemployment rate drops to 6.1%. It appears more people are being hired and outnumbering those dropping off unemployment insurance, the balance has tipped. The wages are still stagnant but hours worked on average have increased to 35 hrs per week. Private sector has been hiring but jobs that require a higher level of education and/or training are still not being filled so millions of job openings that pay great wages are available. The economic indicators have now gone beyond a fluke and stabilized showing a growing economy waiting for consumers to start spending again to continue the momentum. The economy is now beginning to look like the early 90s pre-boom numbers and is set to grow steadily for many years to come. Employers will start being able to pay higher wages or lose out to a competitive job market as workers find their confidence and begin to train for these new careers. Get back in school and train for some of these great opportunities in Biotechs and a booming healthcare industry, we all can do our part by participating rather then complaining. We know the President is simply a political football at this point with distorted poll numbers and a obstructing Congress but in reality those are moot points as America begins to brush herself off and get back up.
