Goulash Stew **Love recipes! FOLLOW or FRIEND ME! I am always posting awesome stuff! facebook/christina.godbey.3 Ingredients • 2 – 3 pounds of ground beef, (lean, I used 93/7 anything above 85/15 works well), drained • 2 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil • 1 large Vidalia (sweet) onion, rough chopped • 1 red bell pepper, rough chopped • 4 cloves garlic, chopped • 3 tablespoons Hot Sauce (I used Frank’s) • 1 - 29 ounce can tomato sauce • 2 - 14.5 ounce cans diced fire roasted tomatoes • 3 cups water • 2 teaspoons dried basil • 2 teaspoons dried oregano • 1 teaspoon garlic powder • 2 cups elbow macaroni • Kosher salt, to taste • Black pepper, to taste • Crushed Red Peppers, (optional) to taste How to prepare 1. In a large Dutch Oven, using medium high heat add olive oil then add the beef, and brown for 10 minutes, breaking it up as you stir. Add in the onion, cook, while stirring, until tender and translucent, about 5 minutes. 2. With the exception of the elbow macaroni add all the remaining ingredients, and cover, simmer for about 20 minutes. 3. Stir in the elbow macaroni, recover with the lid, and simmer for 20-30 minutes, depending on desired tenderness. 4. Let stand for approximately 20 minutes to incorporate the flavors prior to serving. Serve with garlic parmesan bread.
