Guy Cramer from HyperStealth Biotechnology Corp. posted the long comparison of camouflage fabrics (Crye Precision’s MultiCam, Kryptek and ADS/Guy Kramer’s US4CES) using different IR vision devices on hyperstealth/GenIII-NVG/ . Thats interesting to read and to look at photos, while its good, but not absolutely clear comparison. Based on my (good) knowledge of metrology, I could say, its pretty fair. Of course, it could not tell us about the contrast degradation tendencies in time, for example. The interesting thing is that people (on Soldier Systems Daily, for example) still complaining about flaws of the experiment, while its not less scientific than, say, official DoD comparison methods. Im not as experienced in this question as one of participants of that discussion, Victor Di Cosola, owner of TNVC, Inc, but speaking of this comparison, I cant see any real flaws there. Of course, if it was conducted as described.
