HAVING THE MIND OF CHRIST We have the mind of Christ (1 Cor. 2:16)—and it’s interesting to see in another scripture (Psalm 16:7) that mind, heart, and inmost being are used interchangeably in three different translations: “I will bless the LORD who has counseled me; indeed, my mindinstructs me in the night” (NAS). “I will bless the LORD Who has given me counsel; yes my heart instructs me in the night seasons” (Amplified Bible). In the Complete Jewish Bible, the Hebrew translates mind and heart as inmost being: “I bless ADONAI, my counselor; at night my inmost being instructs me.” How many of you would like to have access to that dream realm,? We can have our mind, heart and inmost being operating even at rest we stay plugged into his thoughts. We are instructed and encouraged to set our mind and our affections on things above, not on things on earth (Col. 3:2 NKJV; KJV). You see, only when our affections, our emotions, our mind, and our thoughts are set on things above can the peace of God truly come; and it’s a guard. Remember last week I said that we need to let the peace of God rule; it guards our hearts and minds. Then the door of the spirit realm opens up and we begin to live in the supernatural realm because there is a direct connection between peace, the mind, and having our hearts set on entering into the realm of the Spirit. Set your affections on things above (Col. 3:2). Yet also let’s not forget that the heart or the inner person needs to be clean—“God create in me a clean heart . . . let my thought realm and my affection emotion realm come under Your control. I want to have pure thoughts and pure desires.” Todd Bentley
