HOWARDS ROCK: These are my thoughts - I am a Clemson man and this makes me sick to even think about. The person who did this is a disgrace. I had someone tell me today that it is just a symbol ... but it is much more than that. It is a tradition that dates a few generations and nearly 50 years of love. I grew up watching Clemson football players rub the rock as they run down the hill. After all of these years it still sends a chill up my spine. If you have never witnessed it in person, then you probably do not understand the significance of what Howards Rock means to the Clemson faithful. As any true sports fan was sickened by what happened in Auburn, by the caboose and stadium at Columbia being vandalized, this rings on the same note. I love a good sports rivalry but the desecration of a teams traditions and things they hold dear is cowardly and no true fan of another school would stoop to this level. To whoever did this - you are a chump who has an obvious inferiority complex. You will not be respected by your teams true fans, you will be loathed for the pond scum you are.
