HR Manager Purpose: Reporting to the Area HR Generalist.The purposed of this role is to plan, direct and co-ordinate HR activities of the relevant countries to optimise HR support and value add to the business. Create a customer centric HR operation in country(ies) by setting up and managing an efficient HR service delivery and Administration function in country, as well as engaging proactively with line managers to drive annual HR cycle activities. Impact employee engagement through in country employee engagement mechanisms and fair and consistent application of policies. Competence build-up and effective performance management of a HR Team. This role will also entail the management of various projects and control of resources. Responsibilities: Collaborate closely with the SME HR Service Delivery to facilitate transition of the HR service delivery model to a Shared Services approach. To maintain efficient HR systems that offers line management a variety of solutions To identify and implement HR processes which will assist line managers to make accurate, efficient and effective HR decisions To provide relevant input to the SMEs/ Area HR in the development of policies and ensure successful implementation To ensure the HR processes are aligned with local legislation and compliant with labour rules and requirements. To manage any IR related issues so that costs of non-compliance against legislation are minimized. Ensure compliancy against auditory requirements i.e. SOX/DNV etc Act as a point of contact for the business on HR operational matters To drive the implementation of adequate competence and development programmes To ensure that overall recruitment, selection and placement of top reliable employees To provide line management with the necessary tools required to make accurate and effective decisions To manage, develop HR Team and set key performance areas and monitor performance against these. Create and maintain effective working relationships Create and implement ways of improving team performance Handle grievance and disciplinary issues To report on progress of HR operational objectives Report on important HR trends such as staff turnover, recruitment, training, promotions etc To ensure that relevant HR information is communicated to line managers so as to adequately assist them in making HR decisions Skills and Competence: Education: Bachelor or Honors degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent. Experience: At least 7-years experience in HR Management with a proven track record At least 3-years experience managing and leading a team Technical Competence: Demonstrated HR knowledge and experience across all areas of the discipline (e.g. employee relations, recruitment, performance management, learning & development, talent management, change management etc.). An understanding of Ericsson business strategies is preferable Behavioural Competence: Integrity: Abides by a strict code of ethics and behaviour, chooses an ethical course of action and does the right thing, even in the face of opposition. Problem Solving & Decision Making: Effectively uses both internal resources (e.g. internal computer networks, company filing systems) and external resources (e.g. internet search engines) to locate and gather information. Examines information obtained for relevance and competencies, recognises important gaps in existing People Management & Empowerment: Leads, directs and empowers direct reports to manage their own area of responsibility by providing tactical advise and where required. It recognises the importance of building sound relationships with peers, colleagues, superiors and direct reports. Information and takes steps to eliminate those gaps, organises/reorganises information as appropriate to gain a better understanding of the problem. Decisively chooses the best solution after contemplating available approaches to the problem, makes difficult decisions even in highly ambiguous or ill defined situations, and quickly chooses an effective solution without assistance when appropriate. Planning & Organising: Approaches work in a methodical manner. Plans and schedules tasks so that work is completed on time.
