Had a Thanksgiving nightmare last night. First my mother had a thanksgiving potluck. To start I discovered the turkey in te oven ion a roasting pan half full of water. Youre BOILING the turkey? I asked incredulously. Next the first guest showed up with the side dishes. A young woman, she proudly lined up boxes of scalloped potatoes on the counter. You just have to add milk, she announced. Oh good, string beans, she added picking up a can. The next guest said, I brought dessert, and started stuffing the freezer with ice cream sandwiches. Fortunately, I woke up (in a cold sweat) before anyone showed up with canned cranberry sauce!
